This pack came with a case to hold each- almost like a marker pack, which is great. 5It's not so easy to applyI purchased this gift for my 8 year old niece. For the price the gift was okay. The colors are not that vibrant, even if you have light hair. It's not so easy to apply, and you end up coloring your fingers more than the hair sometimes! In order to get a rich color you must layer it on so thick that the hair becomes stiff and clumpy. It was fun to try once, but this is not something that I would see her ever using again. It's not a good way to temporarily color your hair if your an adult looking to use this. 3Not very bright.Tried this on dark blonde hair. Only two of the colors show up and you have to put alot of the color on the hair to get it to show up. Lots of other reviews said it's waxy and, yeah, it kind of is, but what do you expect? That's essentially what it is--colored wax. Her hair is blond and it's easy to see in her hair. I don't know how it would look on darker hair. It washed out easily with shampoo, though was a little harder to wash out of my son's hair (I think because it's short and I was probably just coloring on his scalp).Tip: I took a section of her hair and put cardboard under it and then colored (kind of like they do at a hair salon when highlighting hair) and it made it a lot easier. 5Weak ProductThis product is an absolute waste of money. The chalk was one step above useless; the color did not transfer well at all. We were able to muscle out a few weak streaks of faded color. Maybe there are better products out there. The chalk doesn't go into the hair well at all. Really have the grab a strand of hair and rub up and down many, many times for even a little color to show. Frustrated the daughter. She even cried trying to still make use of it on her barbie dolls since she wasnt able to use easily on herself but with no luck. The colors just dont show great and it takes alot of rubbing to get it on the strand of hairs. 1Nice idea. Not a nice product.My daughter was super excited to receive these for Christmas. Quite honestly so was I. Even I'd like to add a strip of color here and there without permanent repercussion. Unfortunately, the product is of poor quality. Here are the problems: Misrepresentation. My daughter has blonde hair, and the colors fail to really show. I have platinum color so it's a bit easier to get them visible, but not by much. The girls pictured on the box look like they're simply drawing on the color with ease. Not true to reality. You literally have to hold the strand of hair in between your fingers and the tip of the pen, and go back and forth with a good degree of pressure to be able to apply it. The colors dilute, meaning the lighter ones will never be visible. Good thing it came with darker versions of most colors. In addition, this is not chalk. Whatsoever. We've had hair chalks before and although the color was great, it failed by staining everything it touched. I thought these would be a much better option, they're not. They're greasy. Meaning when you add a strip, your hair looks dirty / wet and stays that way. 2the hair just looks terribly glued togetherwe tried it on my nieces hair and the color doesn't really stay. especially not after you brush it as instructed and if you don't brush it, the hair just looks terribly glued together. 2
