Very Good Tank for all ages.Nicely done toy. The sounds are great (engine idle, engine moving, shooting). Sound is loud but can be toggled off by pressing the hi/lo speed button with the turret rotation button. The detail on the tank is great. My only gripes: (1) no a/c adapter charging of the tank - only through a VERY short cable from the controller, and (2) although it has a speed adjustment button for fast and "not-so-fast"... the tank is fast... like really fast... like Daytona 500 fast..., and (3) although the turret does rotate and the muzzle does rise and fall, the action is based on a single button that toggles movement: first rotate left, then right, then left again and so on. Otherwise, it's built, well... like a tank. Its put together very well and solid. Getting it out of the box was a challenge, and children should be supervised by parents since a screwdriver will be required. It travels across tile and low carpet with no problems. I cant say if shag would be a problem, but I dont think so. Overall, I wish they would make a larger version that addresses the issues I listed above. But overall, I recommend highly. So much fun for all ages. 5Small scale RC Tank that's a lot of fun.This item caught my eye while I was browsing. For the price, I thought that if it didn't perform up to expectations then no big loss. When it first arrived I noticed the packaging which could double both as a display and carry case for all its components. Also, I noticed that for a 1:72 scale tank, the detailing was certainly good.Upon removing it from the packaging, and a cursory look through the instructions, I proceeded to put in 4 AA batteries in the remote control and plugged the charging cable to underneath the tiny tank. After less than 10 minutes of charging, the charging indicator LED on the remote control went off indicating a fully charged tank battery. Turned it on and immediately heard the engine revving sound. Started to use the remote to control the tank and it performed just as advertised. Every thing worked as it should and it was a lot of fun to play with. It's even small enough to operate on top of a coffee table without having it fall off the edge. The speed wasn't exactly to scale, but still a lot of fun. Highly recommended for those who enjoy miniature scale model tanks. 5Probably the best RC toy at such a low price. Just buy it.It s been a long time since I have even thought about buying a remote control toy. But I had to come up with something that would get the attention of an aggressive Savannah cat who I care for while his mother is out of town. It has been so hard to find something that would entertain him but also be strong enough to withstand a bit of the initial attack.Having two speeds to work with, the option to silence the sound effects, and the maneuverability to either go around obstacles or just run right over them, have made this little battle-ready beast my go-to for far more than it s intended purpose. I even (carefully) secured a few feathers to the top so they spin around when I turn the canon. They stick up high enough that he can see them when I drive behind an obstacle and he goes into hunting mode. I ve even attached some feathers to drag behind it and drive it all over to help sweep the floors.I wanted to attach a video but it s hard to record and steer at the same time. I ll have to set up a stand and see if I can get him to play within the cameras view. I ll attach it to my review of the second one of these I bought. Yup! I bought a second one just a couple of weeks after I bought this one. Probably the best RC toy of the dozens and dozens I considered when shopping around. And you can t beat the price.Seriously, just buy it. You won t regret it. 5Very nice item, good detailVery nice item, good detail. Our 8-year old son loves playing with it.I am giving it 3 starts though because the item did not work out of the box. The controller has a defect where battery separators and terminals are misaligned, leaving about 1 mm gap between batteries (making toy non-operable). I ended up breaking off battery separators to allow batteries touch together. After this repair/modification toy works nicely.I may buy more similar items in the future. I hope manufacturer corrects the defective design though.Update (from 3 to 5 start):Manufacturer contacted me and sent replacement item free of any charges. New item worked perfectly. Great follow up and service. 5Such an awesome little toy!!I'm the type of guy who reads the description and details of everything I buy. A lot of the time I get disappointed because some feature mentioned doesn't work as neatly as it's described. Happens everywhere, right? Not here. Everything works exactly as the description painted my mind's image as.Excellent detail for a 1/72 toy, incredibly durable (I've accidentally driven it off several multi-foot drops and it's just bounced and kept going when set on it's tracks), and lots of fun. My personal favorite thing is to drive it over a dirt path or in an area that's just dirt and imagine it hunting Cromwells and Cruisers and M3 Lee's.The only thing I don't like is the low gear setting. It's only a slight difference from the high speed gear setting. It could stand to be a bit slower, but that's my own personal opinion.The battery in the tank lasts for a good 20'ish minutes, and it recharges in about 10-15. That maybe because of the batteries I have in the controller (Energizer Ultimate Lithiums), but I'm loving it.All in all, this is well worth the price tag. I don't know how long it'll last or when it'll eventually break and I gut it to make a small diorama and immortalize it, but untill then, I'm going to enjoy every minute it gives me. 5Powerful little tank I have a little boy who is obsessed with army toys so he is so in love with this tank.It was easy to set up. Pop 4 batteries in, hook up the tank to the remote, wait 20 minutes for it to charge, and it s ready.It goes really fast over tile, carpet, and even rugs. For such a tiny and light weight toy, it has some power.The controls on the remote were confusing to me when i tried to operate it but my 5 year old did just fine.His favorite part is making it spin in circles and aiming the tank gun at the cat.Big hit. 5Great Little "Tiger"Really nice little replica of the mighty Tiger Tank. It is very detailed and all of the functions work as advertised. I have only played with it for one charge but I am extremely impressed on how well it works on low carpet.I cannot believe how much technology and functions the manufacturer managed to pack in such tiny package. I have always loved tracked vehicles and this one is no exception.Pros:- Inexpensive- Very detailed (I got a nice green camo paint scheme)- Sound FX (you can disable the sound effects for quiet operation)- The tracks move like a real tank!!!!- The turret rotates 360 degs.- Tank battery lasts a while- Radio is 27Mhz and not the crappy infraredCons (not really a con for children):The only thing that could be improved, would be the tank speed, it is by no means scale (Very fast) but my kids won't mind that at all ;)Very pleased with the purchase! 5Neat little tank with some workable issues3.5 Stars. I'm pretty amazed at the Cheerwing tank for its price. It's quite detailed and has a good amount of movement/controls. All the normal controls, plus the turret spins and the barrel moves up and down, but the barrel isn't a separate control. It moves up and down as the turret spins so you can't really control it with much precision. The turret itself spins really fast and you can't pick the direction. It alternatives CW and CCW each time you press it. Still, that's a surprising amount of movement controls for such a low cost RC tank. At this price point, I expected movement where it goes forward only and turns in one direction only when you go in reverse. Range isn't the greatest, but it's decent. The biggest issue with the tank is the internal gears and motors can pop out of their position, causing one of the tracks to no longer work. In this version (more on that later), there's just 1 screw on the bottom to remove to pop off the entire top and access the motors and gears. Press the motor or gear back down and it's working again, but there's potential for it to pop out again. I placed a foam with one sided glue on top of the motors to hopefully hold the motors in place. One other problem I had was one of the wires to one of the motors came off the solder joint. I had to resolder the wire and it worked again.I actually purchased a 2nd tank from another store and while it looked identical externally, was actually a different design. Internally the motors, gears, and boards were all different. The tank was also faster in overall speed. There's also 3 screws on the bottom to remove before accessing the internals. Overall, the tank is a fun, fairly detailed and realisitic RC toy at a very good price. 4its goodits a good tank. it has realistic firing and good turret rotation. its a little too fast for such a tank and turns fast. my advice is making it a little slower. also if you rotate the turret to the back and shoot, it will have a recoil that makes it that it shot from the front. otherwise it's good, good packaging. needs 1 screw to be removed to remove the tank from the package. the remote control needs 4 aa batteries and the tank is fully charged when you get it, but later it will need to be charged. very good model. maybe you can make a mini rc tiger ii tank, a panther, and a sherman. 5Tracks are held together by cheap, thin threadLike most products made in the communist dictatorship of China, this one had real promise for the price, but is in the end, poorly executed. The track segments are strung together by very thin thread, and one of my son s tracks broke within minutes of normal use. Cannot find any replacement tracks anywhere online, so this Tiger1 is now a worthless sitting duck. Hopefully this shoddy quality translates to the hardware in the Peoples Liberation Army as well! 1
