Customer Reviews

Excellent game. Sturdy cards.2 year old and 6 year old loved it. This is one of those games where the 2 year old can steal a few cards and it doesn t ruin play, which we sometimes need. But also, it s engaging enough that the two year old got into making the snakes. 6 year old loved the entire thing, especially making two piece worms.. which give you no points and end the game quick but are super adorable . It s simple but it s great for all ages, younger ones work with colors and learning to wait your turn, older learns strategy. Right up there with sleeping queens and Go Nuts, our other favorites from this company. 5fantastic and fun gameMy 4- (almost 5) year old loves this game! Even better, it's a game that older brother (7) and grown-ups enjoy playing too. We like the collaborative aspects of the game, which complement the competitive aspects very well, and there are lots of different ways to decide who the winner is. The game is well-made and sturdy and just lots of fun. 5Great game for the younger set!Bought this for my 7yo son. He LOVES this game. We like Gamewright games in general and this one is good. It is geared toward younger kids, as you are matching up pieces of snake and trying to make whole snakes to collect, so if your kids are older, they probably wont be as interested. My 7yo loves this, 9yo likes it a lot, and the 13 yo will play once in a while. :) 5Great beginner game! This is such a fun beginner game! It s been a good family game to play with our 4 year old. The game is short, maybe 10 minutes long, and moves quickly. The game consists of cards that have different colored snake heads, tails, and bodies. The goal is to match up the color on your card to an existing snake and grow your snake or add the head and tail to a snake and then collect it in your snake pit. It had helped with color recognition, taking turns, and winning/losing. 5Great Game!!I bought this game for my 3 year old for Christmas. I have played it with my Nephew many moons ago...but this game is a classic. The idea of the game is to make a snake matching up colors on the cards. Each card has two colors on it, unless it's a head or a tail. Once a snake is complete you keep the snake. Whoever has the most cards wins. if it's a tie, then whoever has the longest snake wins. The game takes about ten minutes to play and is extremely easy for little ones to understand. the cards are sturdy and colorful. if you have little ones I highly recommend this game. Enjoy! 5great color learning/practice game, a family favorite- can use in any language! This game is awesome. We have already given it as gifts to several friends. It comes with a stack of cards that has either a head, tail or body part of a snake. When you draw a card you have to add it to a snake already on the floor matching the color to what is already there. The kids love yelling HISSSSSSS like a snake when they complete a snake by adding the last part (either head or tail) awesome color learning practice and can be done in any language! This game travels well, is not super long so it holds the attention of even the younger 2 year old crowd and can be played over and over because it is different every time you play. 5GREAT GAME!!!! 3 and up and fun for the whole family! Best game we bought so far out of 10!We love this game! It is a great game for little ones- I'd say an extra clever late 2 near 3 could even play! It's so fun to make the "big snakes!" Even more fun is when you get that big snake for your own!I would only recommend they make a smaller version as these snakes can get quite long! Or maybe include 10 more cards, so the games last more than 10 minutes. Parents can always remove a few cards to shorten the game! It also is too short of a game when you have 4 plus people- and the typical family is 4 or so. I say add more cards and make them a tad smaller! (:We ordered like 10 games in the past year and I think this one is our favorite! You can play right out of the box, the rules are so simple. 5Fun puzzle game!!!They discribe this as a card game, but you don't have to hold the cards in your hand, you just fan the entire pile out across the floor and take turns picking a card from the pile, And the peices are heavy like puzzle peices, not thin like cards. You spread out the cards on the floor, picture down. Take turns picking a card. If the card doesn't match any of the snakes that are on the floor then you just set it down to start a new snake. Each snake must have a head, tail and atleast one middle section. The more peices you get on the snake the better, but the initial object to the game is to form the most snakes and then move it over to you side of the floor(the snake pit). If there is a tie in the number of snakes, then the longest snake wins. This game is appropriate for ages 3 and up. This is a fairly simple game. I would say most 7 yr old and older would find it boring unless playing with a younger child. We have two sets, so we can make longer snakes.Need to play this game on the floor. 5Very interesting gameMy toddlers love to play, the rules are comprehensive for their age and it teaches colors, turn taking and shapes. It was recommended by a professional and I can understand the excellent reviews. The lack of a winner came as a surprise and fresh idea for teaching the kids to play cooperatively without the competition to win, everyone is a winner on this. 5Cute, simple, funMy 3.5-year-old is a boardgame lover already and we have many games, but he chooses this one 80% of the time. There's not really any strategy, but I still enjoy it. It's very sturdy. It takes up a large amount of space - we usually end up stacking the tiles for our finished snakes instead of leaving them out in our "snake pit." He enjoys naming his snakes, or assigning relationships. My only question is, why is this game 4+? It's just color matching. The only more complex element is realizing when you can combine two snakes, but my little one got that down after a few playthroughs. I'm not sure if it would be interesting to a child 5+. 5
