Customer Reviews

Adorable and Durable! So, so cute! This was originally gifted to me, I gave another to someone else, and now there are a number of Panic Petes floating around the office since everyone seems to have fallen in love with this little guy. It's super fun to play with and the perfect stress reliever, as well as a funny little conversation piece for my desk. The colors are vibrant and it fits in the hand perfectly! Mine has gone through many squeeze-filled days and he's still holding up just as well as he did when I first got him. 5Got random pills instead of cute toyI got some weird pills instead of this toy. I can t even return it. Kinda creepy to receive random dietary pills in the mail when you didn t order them. 1From Key & PeeleSaw this little guy on a skit by Key & Peele (Telemarketer). I thought it was one of the funniest skits ever and this little guy played such a tremendous supporting role that I had to get one for myself; it's good exercise too! 5After a co worker threw a computer mouse at a ...After a co worker threw a computer mouse at a window & shattered it into a million pieces I knew something had to be done. Since ordering & receiving Panic Pete all has been well at work & so far no other windows have been shattered & no computer mouse's have exploded so I would have to say this definitely gets a 5 star review. 5Satisfied with ProductI don't know how this compares to the "classic" Panic Pete I remember seeing as a kid, but as a cheap stress-reliever toy, it does the job. I was expecting it to be a bit larger, but it's easy to grip, and fits in one hand just fine. I read a complaint that the blue and red pieces are hard plastic (as opposed to rubber), but I see no problem with this. When squeezed, one of the blue eyes juts off more to the side than straight out, but that's a minor nitpick. 4Panic Pete is a PanicI was introduced to this wonderfully stress relieving toy by another satisfied owner who has had it for years. She loaned it to me at a time of great stress and it came in very handy, truly relieving anxiety and stress. I liked Panic Pete so much that I bought one of my own. That purchase, however, yielded a Pete whose nose did not function properly. I didn't return it because it just wasn't worth the trouble. I had a few extra dollars and purchased a second Panic Pete and this one came through in perfect condition, with nose, eyes, and ears all bulging out when Pete was squeezed. He's a favorite around my house for relieving stress and anxiety. I liked it so much that I wanted to purchase one for my students. I'm a special education teacher in a girls' high school and many of the students have anxiety issues along with learning disabilities and other emotional issues. I accidentally got onto the page with Bug Out Bob, who looks the same, but is built slightly differently and doesn't work as well as Panic Pete. My students still love him and use him frequently to relieve their stress, to stop biting fingernails, etc. The amazing thing is that it doesn't distract them and some of them have ADHD! I would definitely stick with Panic Pete by Schylling because the effect is so much better. It's a great toy and stress reliever. It would also make a terrific gift and it's definitely not for just kids. Adults love it too! You won't be disappointed in Panic Pete--he's a lot of fun. 5A thoughtful gift for a friend who suffers from panic attacks (and exams)Bought this for a friend during her final exam season in university, typically a period of 1.5 weeks when she has high stress and is prone to anxiety because she wants to do well in all of her classes. I couldn't send this with a note, so I thought I would just let her know before it was going to arrive that I'd gotten one for her.It arrived ahead of schedule (a few days before her examination period) and she had a good day laughing at the random toy. I remember the first call with her after she got the squeeze toy - a lot of laughing and giggling, which isn't something she usually does before exams. She used it regularly to help her both relieve stress and not have a panic attack during the examination period.I would recommend this for people who either suffer from panic attacks or high stress where gripping objects or venting frustrations might help (it's really weird looking when you squeeze it; I always end up laughing). I also recommend this for friends of such people, especially those who know that this will incite laughter, rather than disdain, from their friend. 5Who knew this old toy was really a stress reliever?I remember a friend having one of these when we were children. Years later, a coworker had one of these tucked in a drawer. One day, which was especially hectic & stressful, I had to ask her to address a problem. She said "Just a minute", went to the drawer, gave this toy a few pumps, then said, with a big smile, "Now, what was it you wanted?" I laughed out loud. It totally changed the atmosphere in our work area. Recently, a friend of our in the legal profession was experiencing some very stressful times. We got him one of these and he laughed--said what a funny way to defuse stress, then said he loved it. 5Not Recommended for ChildrenI am sure there is a disclaimer about small pieces on the seller's page, but the eyes and ears literally pop out of the sockets (all the way) and they cannot be put back in. The eyes and ears are small and can be an easy choking hazard. The product could not withstand the use of my very curious autistic students that like to pick, pull, and explore. I would not recommend this product for children. 1These are not similar to the originals. If you want this just for the look on your shelf or desk of toys, this will be fine. But it's not the same build or quality as the original.First, the rubber is much thinner. And it does not have the indent on the bottom that helped it "pop". The ears pop fine but the eyes and nose/mouth do not. Maybe mine's just a bad mold. 3
